Foods that should be avoided

    Chicken skin with fat

    The fat crust on a roast

    Heavily spiced foods

    Overly greasy foods

    Chocolate

    Cow’s milk (yogurt and some cheeses are fine, and goat's milk and cheese are fine)

    Refined white flours

    Sugar (although some honey or molasses is okay)

Read commercial food labels carefully and avoid

       Ground yellow corn

       Wheat middlings

         Corn gluten feed

       Rice bran

       Meat and bone meal (the rendered products that contain deceased dogs and cats)

        Animal fat preserved with BHA

        Soybean meal

        Synthetic vitamins and minerals

The most common allergies are to wheat, corn, and rice. Also, wheat, corn, and rice glutens have been at the center of several recalls. Stay away from foods were the first ingredient isn't some type of  meat and that are high in cereal-grain carbohydrates. Soy-based foods produce gases and bloating. In addition, natural forms of vitamins and minerals, especially those from whole foods, are more easily dissolved than the synthetic ones.
